131.40.1800-131.132 Series External gear

The three-row roller external gear series is a heavy-duty slewing bearing designed for applications that demand the highest load capacity, exceptional rigidity, and reliable performance under the most extreme operating conditions. This series features three separate rows of rollers arranged to independently handle axial loads, radial loads, and tilting moments, making it the preferred choice for the most demanding rotating systems.

Typical Applications

Large tower cranes and mobile cranes

Heavy-duty excavators and mining equipment

Wind turbine yaw and pitch systems

Large radar and antenna positioning systems

Heavy-duty industrial turntables

Marine cranes and offshore equipment

High load-carrying capacity
Resistance to high and low temperatures
Noise-free operation
Strictly controlled tolerances and appropriate internal clearance
Long service life and low maintenance requirements
Prevention of unexpected downtime (avoiding bearing fracture, seizure, and safety incidents caused by such failures, with anti-tilting capability)

Characteristics

✦ Three independent roller rows – Separate rows for axial (upper/lower) and radial loads, each with dedicated raceways and roller sets.

✦ Cylindrical roller geometry – All rows use cylindrical rollers with line contact for high stiffness and load capacity.

✦ Separate raceway rings – The axial raceways are machined into separate ring sections, while the radial raceway is located on the inner ring circumference.

✦ Induction-hardened raceways – Each raceway is hardened to 58–62 HRC with a case depth of 3–4 mm for extended wear life.

✦ Heavy-section ring design – Rings feature increased cross-sectional thickness (height-to-width ratio of 1.2:1) to resist deformation under high loads.

✦ Cage-guided rollers – Rollers in all rows are retained by machined brass or steel cages to maintain spacing and reduce friction.

Features

✦ Handles extreme loads – Three independent roller rows allow the bearing to support massive axial, radial, and moment loads simultaneously without compromise.

✦ Superior rigidity under heavy loads – Cylindrical roller line contact provides exceptional stiffness, minimizing deflection even under heavy loads.

✦ Extended service life – Induction-hardened raceways with deep case depth resist surface fatigue, extending the bearing's lifespan in high-cycle applications.

✦ Low friction, high efficiency – Cage-guided rollers reduce sliding friction, ensuring smoother rotation and lower heat generation.

✦ Reliable operation in harsh conditions – The robust design with heavy-section rings maintains performance in demanding environments like steel mills or offshore platforms.

✦ Easy maintenance – Separate raceway rings allow for inspection of individual components without complete disassembly.
