The 061 series bearing consists of an inner ring, an outer ring with integral external teeth, and a single row of steel balls with spacers. The raceways are machined so that each ball maintains contact with the raceways at four distinct points, enabling the bearing to simultaneously support axial loads (in both directions), radial loads, and tilting moments within a single row of rolling elements.
The external gear is machined directly on the outer ring, allowing direct pinion drive coupling without the need for a separate gear ring. This simplifies the transmission system and reduces overall component count. Both rings are provided with mounting holes for straightforward bolted installation.
The series follows Rothe Erde's naming convention where the first three digits indicate the bearing type. The 061 series is available in two main sub-series based on the number of mounting holes: the 061.40.** series with forty mounting holes and the 061.60.** series with sixty mounting holes. Each sub-series covers a range of gear diameters to suit various application requirements.
Combined load capability: Handles axial, radial, and moment loads simultaneously
Compact and lightweight: Single-row design saves space and reduces structural weight
Smooth rotation: Optimized raceway geometry provides stable operation under load
Easy integration: External gear and mounting holes simplify system assembly
Proven design: Based on decades of engineering experience in slewing bearing technology
