90-2B20-0268-0702-9E Series design

The gearless double-row series is a heavy-duty slewing bearing designed for applications that require superior load capacity and structural rigidity, with the flexibility to accommodate external drive systems. This series features two rows of rolling elements without gear teeth on either ring, making it an ideal choice for equipment where the drive arrangement is best defined independently of the bearing.

Typical Applications

Large cranes and excavators

Tower cranes and mobile cranes

Wind turbine yaw systems

Large solar tracking arrays

Radar and antenna positioning systems

Heavy-duty industrial turntables and rotary tables

High load-carrying capacity
Resistance to high and low temperatures
Noise-free operation
Strictly controlled tolerances and appropriate internal clearance
Long service life and low maintenance requirements
Prevention of unexpected downtime (avoiding bearing fracture, seizure, and safety incidents caused by such failures, with anti-tilting capability)

Characteristics

✦ Dual-row ball arrangement – Two rows of balls configured in a tandem layout with identical pitch diameters, creating a compact load-transfer path.

✦ Toothless ring surfaces – Both rings are machined with plain cylindrical faces, free of gear teeth, enabling external drive coupling.

✦ Single-block ring construction – Inner and outer rings are produced from single-piece forgings with no welded joints, ensuring uniform material properties.

✦ Induction-hardened raceways – Each raceway is hardened to 58–62 HRC with a case depth of 2.0–2.8 mm, providing a wear-resistant rolling surface.

✦ Low-profile cross-section – Rings feature a reduced axial height with a height-to-diameter ratio of 1:25, ideal for space-limited installations.

Features

✦ Compact load transfer – The tandem ball layout transmits loads through a narrow footprint, making it easy to fit into machinery with limited space.

✦ Simplified drive design – Toothless rings allow the use of standard belts, chains, or friction wheels, reducing the need for custom gearboxes.

✦ Lower maintenance costs – Plain ring surfaces are easier to clean and inspect, reducing downtime for routine checks.

✦ Flexible mounting – The low-profile design enables installation in tight axial spaces, such as between machine frames or under covers.

✦ Consistent performance – Induction-hardened raceways ensure stable friction characteristics over the bearing's service life.

✦ Seal replacement ease – Integrated seal grooves allow quick seal changes without disassembling the bearing from the machine.
