R11-71E3-Series 5000 Cross roller slewing ring

This series is a distinguished line of single-row crossed roller slewing bearings featuring external gearing, designed for applications where the drive pinion must engage with the bearing's outer circumference. This external-gear configuration offers distinct advantages in terms of gear accessibility, drive system flexibility, and installation convenience, making this series a preferred choice across a diverse range of heavy machinery and precision equipment.

Application Spectrum:

Mobile cranes and telescopic boom handlers

Excavators and material handlers

Concrete pump trucks and placing booms

Aerial work platforms and man lifts

Port and shipyard gantry cranes

Mining equipment including stackers and reclaimers

Heavy-duty rotary tables for large component machining

High load-carrying capacity
Resistance to high and low temperatures
Noise-free operation
Strictly controlled tolerances and appropriate internal clearance
Long service life and low maintenance requirements
Prevention of unexpected downtime (avoiding bearing fracture, seizure, and safety incidents caused by such failures, with anti-tilting capability)

Characteristics

✦ Roller arrangement – Cylindrical rollers are alternately oriented at 90° in a single raceway, with each roller maintaining line contact with both axial and radial raceways.

✦ External gear teeth – The outer ring features integrally cut gear teeth with a 20° pressure angle spur profile, featuring induction-hardened flanks.

✦ Ring construction – Both rings are manufactured as single-piece forgings from 42CrMo4 steel, ensuring seamless material integrity.

✦ Raceway finish – Raceways are ground to P5 tolerance class with a surface finish of 0.4 µm Ra.

✦ Heat treatment – Raceways hardened to 58–62 HRC with a case depth of 2.0–3.0 mm, gear teeth hardened to 50–55 HRC.

✦ Sealing system – Seal grooves are machined into both rings to accommodate standard NBR or FKM lip seals.

Features

✦ Reduces sliding friction during gear meshing – The induction-hardened gear flanks with a 20° pressure angle minimize tooth sliding friction, reducing power loss.

✦ Ensures structural integrity under cyclic loads – The single-piece forged 42CrMo4 rings eliminate welded joints, providing seamless material integrity.

✦ Supports high-speed rotation – The P5 tolerance class and 0.4 µm Ra surface finish provide low friction and heat generation at high speeds.

✦ Extends gear life – The 50–55 HRC gear tooth hardness with a deep case depth provides resistance to pitting and wear.

✦ Enables effective sealing – The precision-machined seal grooves ensure consistent seal lip compression for reliable protection.

✦ Provides flexible installation – The ISO metric and custom bolt patterns allow easy integration with a wide range of equipment.
