The internal gear with outer flange slewing bearing is a versatile rotational component engineered to meet the demands of equipment requiring a protected drive arrangement and a sturdy mounting interface. This design incorporates an internal gear on the inner ring and an outer flange on the outer ring, providing a practical solution for applications where the drive pinion must be housed within the bearing envelope while maintaining a secure, flange-based attachment to the supporting structure.

Application Areas:

  • Compact crane turntables and winch drives

  • Aerial work platforms and lifting equipment

  • Solar tracking systems requiring protected gearing

  • Light to medium-duty industrial turntables

  • Packaging and handling machinery

This bearing series consists of an outer ring with an integral flange, an inner ring with internal gear teeth, and a single row of steel balls with spacers arranged between precision-ground raceways. The four-point contact ball geometry enables the bearing to support axial loads in both directions, radial loads, and tilting moments simultaneously within a single, compact row of rolling elements.

The outer flange serves as the primary mounting interface, providing a broad, flat surface for bolted attachment to the machine structure. This integrated flange eliminates the need for separate adaptor plates or complex mounting brackets, simplifying the overall assembly process. The inner ring features internal gear teeth machined directly onto its inner surface, positioning the drive pinion within the bearing envelope. This internal gear arrangement ensures that the gear teeth remain protected from external debris, impact, and environmental factors, contributing to extended gear life and reduced maintenance requirements.
